" Dusty and I met in 2008 when I was working at Knight’s Bar and Grill. Him and his friend would come in every weekend and would request that I was their waitress. At that time we were in two different points in our lives so we remained friends and would randomly run into each other. In 2012, I was visiting my family in Riverdale and Dusty happened to be there. At that point, we had not seen each other for 5 years. Two weeks later, we ran into each other again and we were able to catch up. From that point on, we would talk on a regular basis, we would make it a point to see each other during the week, and the rest is history.     On December 24, 2016 it was our typical Christmas Eve. Dusty and I got up, made breakfast, and relaxed as we did not have to be at his parent’s farm until 2. As 12:00 approached Dusty kept telling me I needed to go shower and get ready. I told him that all I needed to do was curl my hair. He proceeded to tell me that I needed to take a shower. In fact, he was relentless. So needless to say, I got in the shower because I was getting annoyed. At that point, he came into the bathroom and asked me why I was not washing my hair. I told him that I washed it last night and I did not have time to blow dry and curl it.     After my shower, I went to our room and I noticed that the bed was made and there was a little box in the middle of the bed. I looked around as I thought Dusty was hiding somewhere as he enjoyed pulling pranks on me on a regular basis. I could not find him so I called for him a couple times and I did not get a response. So I grabbed the box, opened it, and sure enough there was an engagement ring. I started to cry and I called for him again. At that point, I heard the TV shut off and him come up the stairs. As he walked into the room, he saw me crying and he gave me a hug and a kiss. He then asked, “Will you” and I said of course I will. At this point, I could not stop crying. Dusty asked me if I was ok, if I liked it, and why I was crying. I told him I love it and between sobs I said, “I thought I was getting hunting boots.”" -Jessica

Dusty and I are obsessed with fall, the colors, the smell, and of course hunting. Due to our love for fall, we wanted to have a fall wedding. We could not have asked for a better day as the weather was perfect. I had experience decorating weddings and helping with all the details that I took my wedding planning into my own hands. I wanted a classy but rustic wedding. In order to get this feel, I used rose gold, lace, and burlap. I threw in antique doors; mason jars clear and rose gold, old screens, crates, authentic whiskey barrels, willow branches, succulents in old feeders and tool boxes, wood slabs, Seeded Eucalyptus, and Baby’s Breath. Our wedding colors were rose gold, burgundy, and charcoal gray. To tie everything together, my bridesmaid’s flowers were Blush Roses, Black Cala Lillies, Seeded Eucalyptus, Succulents, and Wine Dahlias which were done by Connie at Bloom N House in Beulah, ND. These colors paired perfectly and looked absolutely stunning with the fall background.         Event Planning:  The Bride Cake: Sweets were from all family members. Cheesecake was made by Dusty’s mom. Invitations:  The Bride created them on Vista Print. Every time I look at them I fall more and more in love with them and my husband.  They give me butterflies! Your eye for detail is unreal. What you captured on our wedding day will be cherished forever. Thank you for capturing the way we felt and the love we shared. Thank you for having patience of a Saint as my husband is not the most photogenic guy and dealing with our groomsmen that were being shits!" - Jessica
